The Miami Design District is one of the city’s most popular destinations, but what draws me in isn’t the luxurious brands or trendy designs. What I love about this space is how it showcases practical, thoughtful design with Florida-adapted plants. The trees here aren’t just decorative—they provide essential shade, blending seamlessly with the architecture to create a comfortable outdoor experience, even in Miami’s humid climate.
The use of oolite walls and boulders not only adds texture but also tells a story about the land itself, grounding the landscape in a deep connection with its natural surroundings.
